Job Description

Join Alberta's premier residential design firm and help us bring dream homes to life through cutting-edge 3d design.

You will assist our designers to reduce their workload and grow the company. The key role of this position will be to advance the company's 3d capabilities and offerings.

This is a remote/hybrid position; training will be provided in our Edmonton office and online. Communication with the other team members will be via phone, email, Google Chat, Google Meet/Zoom/MS Teams. DRAW Designs will provide the software and hardware required for the position - you will be responsible for maintaining the equipment in good working condition. You will be required to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement regarding client information and file use.

The Main Responsibilities:



Create

new job files

Organize

new files and create drawings for individual jobs

Design

new house plans and multifamily plans from notes and sketches Take hand sketches and draw them in

Archicad - please note this is ARCHIcad and not

AUTOcad*

2d & 3d

designs and drafting with

emphasis on 3d modelling

Draw client

revisions

from redline drawings

Draft

complete sets of working drawings/construction drawings/"blueprints" Building Code and Zoning Bylaw

research

Complete Effective Thermal Resistance

calculations

and energy efficiency

details

Assist with digital

file maintenance and organization

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications



Must be proficient with

BIM - preference give to candidates with Archicad 3d

Post-Secondary Architectural Technology

Degree or Diploma

or equivalent professional experience

Computer skills

are mandatory - Google Suite / SketchUp Must have

BIM skills

MUST

be able to create full sets of construction drawings for at least a 3500 ft house from sketches/preliminary drawings

MUST

be able to create full sets of construction drawings for a fourplex from sketches/preliminary drawings

Canadian Residential drafting and design knowledge is required

Experience in the

residential home building industry

or related field (land development & planning, municipal government, real estate, construction, etc.) Organized and excellent

time management skills
