Intermediate Application Developer
Job Description
Under the direction of a Manager, ERP Services this position is an integral member of an application development team in the department of Information Technology Services (ITS).
This position is skilled in the enhancement, maintenance and support of Saskatchewan Polytechnics ERP (Ellucian Banner), integrated systems, as well as mobile and web applications.
Working closely with team members, the Intermediate Application Developer resolves application related issues and failure.
The Intermediate Application Developer is experienced in application development using 3rd and 4th generation programming language, web technologies, relational databases and data query. Experience with Oracle databases and tools is an asset.
Enhance, maintain and support Sask Polytechs ERP System (Ellucian Banner)
Assist with the design, development, maintenance and support of web and mobile applications
Provide assistance to clients and team members to resolve application issues and failures
Troubleshoot and analyze complex code and data problems
Conduct unit, functional and integration testing for new and enhanced applications
Problem research, training, and documentation
Maintain education and knowledge in application development and programming technologies
Assure compliance with ITS procedures including ITIL, development standards and change management processes
