Weins Auto Group is currently recruiting an Intermediate Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting team at Oakville Volkswagen. Responsibilities

• Full cycle accounting ensuring all month-end and year-end financial reports are completed on time and accurately
• Ensure that all standard accounting policies, procedures and controls are consistently and accurately applied and that all applicable federal, provincial and local regulatory laws and regulations are adhered to
• Process and post vehicle sales in a timely and accurate manner.
• Prepare daily deposits and remit payments for extended warranties, insurance, etc.
• Post Manufacturer and dealer invoices
• Liaise with managers in the dealership and support them with their accounting, budgeting, cost control and financial analysis needs
• Maintain up-to-date, complete and systematic filing system to support accounting and financial records to meet regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• University Degree/College Diploma in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent related experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of dealership accounting experience is an asset
• Experience working with the PBS Dealership Management System is an asset
• Effective communicator, both verbally and in writing
• Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Computer proficiency - Word, Excel, Outlook
