Responsibilities: * Perform day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
  • Conduct regular analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support decision-making processes.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and assist in the preparation of audits, tax filings, and other financial reporting.
  • Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
  • Stay updated on accounting regulations and industry trends, recommending changes or modifications to financial policies and procedures as necessary.
  • Assist in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis as required.
Qualifications: * Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations (GAAP or IFRS).
  • Proficient in using accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated integrity and ethical behavior in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Experience with process improvements and automation initiatives is a plus.
  • Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement systems and regulations is an asset.

Requirements

- Outstanding data entry skills

- Ability to multitask, collaborate and communicate well with individuals of all backgrounds in a fast-paced environment

- AA or BS/BA in Accounting or related field preferred

- Skilled in Spreadsheet and ERP system

- Month end closings experience

- Comprehensive knowledge of budget forecasting
