Join our dynamic team as an Intermediate Accountant! In this role you'll support the financial reporting team across all FYiHealth Group business units in the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes and assist in any ad hoc projects / tasks as required. This role is located at our Home Office in Calgary, Alberta, which follows a hybrid work model.

What Will You Be Doing?

Preparing general ledger journal entries, including accruals, monthly recurring, and adjusting entries Preparing GL account reconciliations, conducting variance analysis, compiling various reports and analyzing results Preparing and maintaining working papers and schedules for monthly, quarterly and annual financials Assisting in period-end close and reporting Assisting in the interim and year-end audit process Seeking opportunities to provide process improvements and efficiencies. Liaising with other departments, accounting team members, and external parties Assessing current processes, procedures, internal controls, and make recommendations for improvements Performing ad hoc analysis and projects Supporting the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures

As The Successful Candidate You Have:

An undergraduate degree in Commerce or Business with a preferred major in accounting A CPA designation, or in the process of obtaining CPA designation with completion of CPA core 1 and Core 2 module preferred 2-4 years in a Finance/Accounting capacity, with full-cycle accounting experience an asset Experience in financial reporting, journal entry preparation and account reconciliations Intermediate to advanced Excel skills Experience with ERP systems and/or Netsuite is an asset Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Bilingualism (French/English) is considered an asset
