Job Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an Intermediate Accountant in Aurora, Ontario. This role is within the manufacturing industry and will require a hybrid working model, with 2-3 days in the office.Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems to process and manage financial transactions.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure accurate and timely processing.
• Implement accrual accounting principles to maintain accuracy in financial reports.
• Conduct auditing of financial documents and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Analyze construction costs and account reconciliation to ensure financial accuracy.
• Recognize company revenue and ensure it is accurately recorded and reported.
• Carry out analysis of financial data to support business decision-making.
• Utilize Microsoft Excel for financial reporting and data management, including the use of pivot tables and vlookups.
• Manage currency conversion and exchange processes for multicurrency transactions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders, presenting findings and reports as needed.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting role
• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems
• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting
• Familiarity with Auditing procedures
• Knowledge of Construction Cost accounting is desirable
• Proven ability in Account Reconciliation
• Experience in Company Revenue Recognition
• Strong Analysis skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Experience in Currency Conversion and Currency Exchange
