Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Retail Sales Associate/Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their flooring package selections, and ensuring an engaging shopping experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for sales and a keen interest in interior design, renovation, and high-end products. The pay comes with monthly commissions in addition to the base wage.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs. Conduct product demonstrations and provide detailed information about features and benefits. Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. Maintain an organized and visually appealing sales floor through effective merchandising and stocking practices. Process transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash with care. Manage inventory levels, including restocking shelves and conducting regular inventory checks. Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction. Utilize layout design skills to create attractive displays that highlight key products. Provide support for outside sales efforts by following up on leads and assisting with account management.

Requirements

Proven experience in retail sales, interior design, and customer service, preferably in high-end environments. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse customers. Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in inventory management and sales analysis. Experience in flooring sales, construction, renovation, or interior design is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. A proactive approach to problem-solving and negotiation skills to address customer inquiries effectively.
