We are looking for a talented senior designer with strong conceptual design talents to work with our clients and talented staff on exciting, fast paced, and diverse projects. This is the place where great ideas and rewarding careers are realized.Your Key ResponsibilitiesCo-lead the interiors team with individual responsibilities in projects and business developmentDevelop relationships with clients and industry leadersEffectively lead, challenge, and inspire staff to work together cohesively as a teamProvide design direction and mentorship to the teamCollaborate with sector leads to deliver truly integrated project solutions and strengthen/broaden the interiors team experience baseCollaborate on the creation of proposal submissions. Solicit and manage input from others to create integrated solution proposalsLiaise with Stantec Interior Design Groups across region/sector and opportunitiesParticipate in strategic business development for the Interior group.Work with marketing team to enrich our marketing materials and exposureQualificationsYour Capabilities and CredentialsStrong concept talents, able to develop creative concepts within fast paced projectsProven ability to steward client relationshipsCommitment to excellence and high standard of internal and external communication and brand representationStrong leadership, organization, communication, and relationship management skillsProven ability to engage colleagues and communicate the needs of the client to bring the right solution to projectAble to communicate complex design concepts to clientsStrong presentation skills, able to story tell and sell the conceptAble to collaborate with the management team in the development of goals and marketing strategiesProven ability to manage multiple opportunities, priorities and meet deadlines.Demonstrated experience in a variety of sectors is desirable; commercial, workplace, retail, food & beverage, hospitality, aviation, education, healthcareUnderstanding of industry software required in project delivery; AutoCAD (and/or Revit), Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, BluebeamEngaging & collaborative nature and passionate about designStrong leadership qualities and a calm demeanorEnjoy people and the opportunity to engage and inspireCreative, strategic, and organized. Able to create a game plan, delegate and executeArticulate and a good facilitatorEducation and Experience

  • Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or other relevant course of study. 15 years of design experience including business development responsibilities. Member of IDIBC, or other industry association.

  • Lower Mainland $86,400 - Lower Mainland $129,600 Min/Max Pay Range for postings located in BC (Lower Mainland includes Vancouver & Burnaby)
The final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
