Role Overview:

Join our high-performance Retail Team as we deliver Everyday Luxury to Canadians and their homes. As an Interior Designer/Decorator & Sales Associate at Couchhaus, you will play a crucial role in delivering concierge service and exceptional sales expertise. You will assist clients with spatial planning, fabric selections, and customization of their couches while also providing sales support to ensure smooth operations of our boutique store.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Consultation:

- Meet with clients to understand their design preferences, needs, and budget.

- Conduct detailed needs assessments to determine the scope of design projects.

- Provide expert advice on space planning, furniture arrangement, and decor selection.

Design Development:

- Create detailed design proposals, including mood boards, sketches, and renderings.

- Assist clients in selecting fabrics, materials, and finishes that align with their aesthetic and functional goals.

- Develop comprehensive design plans that include floor layouts, furniture placement, and decorative elements.

Sales and Customer Service:

- Sell products while upselling and cross-selling to maximize sales opportunities.

- Build deep and personalized connections with our clients, enhancing their loyalty and affinity to Couchhaus.

- Accurately and efficiently process transactions, treating product like gold.

- Support service counter operations, managing the line-up to ensure clients are serviced quickly and handling client purchases.

Showroom Duties:

- Maintain and update showroom displays to reflect current design trends and seasonal themes.

- Uphold the standards of product display and support in the seamless operations of all aspects of the retail space.

- Assist in organizing and hosting showroom events, workshops, and presentations.

Qualifications:

Sales Skills:

- No experience required; we value your hustle, passion for problem-solving, and ability to think on your feet.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.

- A commitment to learn and apply Couchhaus Values, Business, and People Leadership principles.

Interior Design Expertise (not mandatory):

- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related field, or an interest.

- Proven experience as an interior designer or decorator, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

- Excellent understanding of spatial planning, color theory, and fabric selection.

Compensation and Benefits:

- Salary: Industry-leading wages starting at $20-$22/hr + commission with growth potential. After commission earings can range from $35-$55/hour.
