We are looking for an experienced Interim Director of Finance to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Vancouver, British Columbia. In this role, you will oversee critical financial operations and provide strategic guidance to ensure the organization's financial health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic team while contributing to key financial decisions.
Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee all general ledger functions to ensure timely and accurate financial close processes across multiple currencies and entities.

• Supervise accounts payable, project accounting, and payroll functions to maintain smooth operations.

• Prepare and evaluate comprehensive financial statements, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.

• Lead and mentor the accounting team, fostering growth and enhancing team capabilities.

• Develop and enforce robust internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.

• Ensure timely compliance with applicable financial regulations and standards.

• Coordinate and manage external audits, ensuring readiness and accuracy in financial reporting.

• Provide financial analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.

• Offer guidance and expertise in ongoing financial system implementations and enhancements.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance or accounting leadership roles.

• Expertise in accounting software systems and managing complex financial environments.

• Strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting processes, and reporting standards.

• Proven ability to perform ad hoc financial analysis and project accounting.

• Experience with payroll and accounts payable functions in a multi-entity setting.

• Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to deliver actionable insights.

• Demonstrated success in leading and mentoring accounting teams.

• Familiarity with external audit coordination and compliance requirements.
