Our Edmonton client has an immediate need for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor. The position is temporary with the possibility of permanent for the qualified candidate. The AP Supervisor position is remote; however, it is required to attend the office bi-weekly to process cheque runs.
Your success will be defined by your ability to:
- Reviewing Accounts Payable transactions for compliance and appropriate approval in a timely and accurate manner. Transactions include but are not limited to: vendor payments, corporate purchasing cards, employee expenses and direct deposit entries.
- Review and post purchase order batches.
- Prepares monthly journal entries and close process.
- Work with vendors and operations to resolve invoicing discrepancies.
- Prepares various internal financial reports as required by the Finance Department and the auditors
- Accounts payable experience in an automated procurement environment. Proven experience as an AP Supervisor or similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat required.
- Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Excel required.
- Ability to prioritize and allocate work within the department.
- Strong account reconciliation, problem solving and analysis skills required.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains financial system/ReQlogic.
- Experience in medium to large not-for profit environment desired.
- Experience in senior care desired
