We are looking for talented, enthusiastic, and experienced individuals for upcoming opportunities in floating projects in Newfoundland and Labrador.

What will you be doing?

  • Establishing a clear definition and understanding of the responsibilities and methods applicable to interface activities within the project organization
  • Preparing and maintaining an Interface Management Plan (IMP) as well as any interface management procedures or work instructions required to support the IMP
  • Developing an Interface Responsibility Matrix (IRM) identify the key external and internal interfaces and establishing/maintaining the Interface Request Register (IRR)
  • Ensuring that interface requirements and priorities are clearly described in the project-specific PEM
  • Developing and ensuring discipline and interface management communication with interfacing contractors is well established and information flows in a timely manner with a requirement to hold routine interface meetings to ensure effective interfacing
  • Organizing and facilitating kick-off meetings and project meetings with all interfacing parties to identify, clarify and conclude interface issues
  • Preparing and issuing regular status reports on progress of interface activities to the Project Management, and to Client as required
  • Ensuring relevant contractual requirements are communicated, known, implemented, and followed up within the interface team
  • Contributing, as necessary, to any technical and commercial evaluations/decisions being made related to the project
  • Liaising with other disciplines through work development; investigating, advising, and resolving complex design and field engineering problems
  • Analyzing problems, organizing investigations, and determining specific design criteria
  • Assuring compliance with project schedule and control estimates
We think you should have:
  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering discipline and registration with PEGNL as a P.Eng (preferred) or an EIT.
  • Experience in an interface management role within a large Front End, FEED or EPC environment within the offshore energy industry
  • Knowledge of interdependence relationship between departments and disciplines
  • Demonstrated knowledge of procurement and vital project control aspects
  • Experience in effective negotiation of critical issues with Engineers, Designers, Clients, and other project stakeholders.
  • Strong proficiency in chairing meetings, driving issues to conclusions, and communicating outcomes.
  • Strong knowledge of EPC project execution models
