Background



The Crazy Canadian Electric Bus Tour is a project to engage Canadian young people, aged 10 to 25, with climate science and climate hope-through-action. You will be a key member of a small team working under the direction of Opt2Refuture and Parallel World Labs. Parallel World Labs is a global leader in interactive, immersive exhibits for museums and other public spaces, as you will see on their website. The project is guided by the board of directors of Opt2Refuture and their advisors.

You will be able to apply your knowledge, your skills and your convictions to a creative project with the potential to change young lives and, thereby, the direction of climate action in Canada.

The ultimate intended medium is an immersive digital experience, including meta-humans and interactive climate simulations, contained within a Canadian-built electric bus that tours this country from coast to coast to coast.

Project



Interested in developing a socially responsible climate based creative project that will go nationwide- a chance to develop and hone your graphic gaming, simulation and visualization skills? This opportunity will allow you to explore a range of creative innovative tools and techniques required to design and realize an immersive experience. You will work in a team under the guidance of Stacey Spiegel at Parallel World Labs, a global leader in innovative, interactive immersive experience design in the museum exhibit space. Collaborations will include working with leading developers throughout this project to integrate existing and emerging AI technology.

Position Description:



This is an opportunity to be part of the team at Opt2Refuture helping to create, visualize, write and design the overall concept plan that will become the key communication tool for realizing the interactive immersive experience. In addition, in collaboration with team members, you will develop a prototype that explores and illustrates the immersive technology at the core of the Crazy Canadian Electric Bus Tour, a bold and groundbreaking initiative that will engage youth and communities across Canada.

Job Overview


We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Content Producer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, editing, and managing multimedia content across various platforms. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape engaging 3D content that resonates with diverse audiences. The Content Producer will collaborate closely with content development, technical interactive development and creative director.

Duties



Create compelling 2D and 3D visual content using Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Suite tools. Edit videos and multimedia projects with Adobe Premiere to produce polished final products. Develop written content, including scripts, articles, and social media posts, demonstrating strong writing skills. Collaborate with team members to brainstorm ideas and iterate versions of the immersive experience Review and revise content and product based on feedback to achieve high-quality standards. Maintain organized archives of all multimedia assets for easy access and future use.

Requirements



Good writing and graphic skills, including experience with 2D graphics and 3D modeling tools, AI tools for still image visualization and video/audio applications (e.g., 3D Studio Max, Adobe Creative Suite/InDesign, Blender. Unreal Meta Human Creator) Ability to use Ai to assist in graphic development Programming languages such as Python or Javascript would be an asset Familiarity with open-source project sharing Understanding of digital development lifecycle and best practices Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere, and Adobe Creative Suite applications. Strong communication skills to articulate ideas clearly and collaborate effectively with team members. Excellent writing skills with the ability to craft engaging narratives across different formats. Ability to interpret complex information accurately for diverse audiences. Experience in translation or localization is a plus. Demonstrated creativity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects efficiently. Prior experience in content production or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
