Stratford Intellectual Property, a Division of Stratford Group, is seeking an administrative professional with IP experience to join our rapidly expanding IP Operations team on a 12 month contract with possibility of extension. This role will report into the Administrative Manager and will be based primarily from home with occasional requirements to be in office.

What You Will Do and The Value You Will Add:
Drawing on your IP administration experience, you will be a part of the Stratford Intellectual Property team delivering support to clients by assisting with the implementation and operations of their IP strategies and assets.
Key Responsibilities:
Preparing and organizing patent, trademark, and industrial design patent applications for filing in Canada and U.S.
Preparing and organizing PCT patent application documents for filing in Canada and the U.S., including but not limited to Information Disclosure Statements, Assignments, Declarations, Power of Attorney documents formal patent drawings, Petitions, PCT Requests, Requests for National Entry
Processing, docketing PTO correspondence and monitoring IP deadlines
Reviewing and reporting official correspondence to clients
Liaising with clients, inventors and outside counsel during drafting and prosecution of Canadian, U.S. and foreign patent applications
Review and file patent and trademark office action responses at CIPO and the USPTO.
Preparing documents for Request for the Global Patent Prosecution Highway (GPPH)
Managing payment of maintenance fees and renewals at CIPO and the USPTO, and coordinating with annuity service for foreign jurisdictions.
Maintain a proactive approach to quality assurance by identifying and correcting errors or discrepancies.
Coordinating among cross-functional teams
Required Experience:
5+ years of U.S., Canadian and International intellectual property administration ()
Experience with a variety of IP Management Software (FoundationIP) and Patent Office web services
Paper-free office
