About the Role

The Corus Revenue Team is seeking an exceptional individual that is a forward thinker and has the ability to represent all Corus Brands and major league sports partnerships (Digital, Social, Audio and Video) in both the Agency and Retail environments. Reporting to the Director of Local Sales, you are a creative thinker who has been immersed in the world of Integrated Marketing solutions, building multimedia strategies designed to maximize revenue and provide a measurable ROI for clients. You have a strong background in Audio, Video, Digital and Social selling as well as a solid understanding of Audience measurement and research. You have a track record of developing non-traditional revenues by presenting innovative, research supported solutions to clients that speak to the changing landscape of media.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets across Video, Audio and digital media platforms.
  • Actively prospect for and develop new business opportunities by building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and agencies. Looking for hunters!
  • Provide on-going support to ensure optimal client service
  • Ability to coordinate creative from initial sales meetings through to preparation of ads for client approval
  • Ongoing awareness of our customers' day to day challenges
  • Receivables control
About You

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum of 5 years sales experience
  • Knowledge of industry planning/booking software - S4M and Wide Orbit experience
  • Knowledge of digital and broadcast industry terms, standards and metrics
  • This position requires an individual who can perform well under the pressure of deadlines, the requirement to generate new customers, and the accountability of multi-million dollar revenue targets
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office application
  • High level of initiative/self-motivation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills,
  • An ability to determine client marketing goals and needs
  • Aptitude and ability to absorb and apply analytical data
  • Conceptual, creative thinker and problem solver
  • Must enjoy fast paced work environment that is based on team and individual effort
  • A valid driver's license and reliable automobile
  • A positive, outgoing friendly manner based on customer service needs
  • Proven track record in business development
  • High level of knowledge in social/interactive media sales
