Description and RequirementsWork Location: HybridPosition Type: PermanentLocation: Yaletown, Vancouver, BCCompensation Range: $60,000Our client, in the Insurance industry is seeking a Support & Service Insurance Broker.Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for managing and maintaining a portfolio of complex commercial and personal insurance policies.
  • Manages high-value personal lines policies, ensuring clients receive tailored insurance solutions.
  • Responds to client requests and inquiries in a prompt and professional manner.
  • Analyzes, counsels, and recommends coverage to clients with the highest level of integrity.
  • Ensures adherence to internal and external underwriting rules, regulations, and procedures.
  • Provides cross-sell and upsell recommendations to existing clientele.
  • Collects expiry dates on other lines of business from existing clientele.
  • In-depth understanding of various insurance providers' underwriting rules, product features, and benefits.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in using Epic and various insurer company portals.
  • Responds to insurance company underwriters in a timely manner.
  • Actively supports the team by answering coverage-related questions and providing
  • guidance on different types of insurance.
  • Actively participates in training initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary education and/or equivalent on the job experience
  • 3+ years' experience in the insurance industry, with complex commercial insurance policies and high-value personal lines
  • Must have your General Insurance License Level 2 (or higher) in British Columbia.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detail-oriented and adept at managing multiple tasks simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset, working effectively within a team to achieve shared goals while fostering a positive and supportive work culture.
  • High level of integrity and excellent work ethic.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands independently.
  • Proficiency with computer applications including EPIC (Broker Management System).
