The Insurance Advisor role is a key player in the support and development of the agency operations primarily through the sales and service of Co-operators personal lines products (auto and home insurance) with a key focus on working with our Commercial Advisors and clients, servicing commercial and farm product lines.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Service and profitable growth of both personal lines and specialty lines products
Work closely with Commercial Advisors and clients to service commercial insurance needs
Advise and recommend coverages and policies that best meet client needs
Actively focus on prospecting for all lines of business by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client
Complete front line risk assessment and selection following underwriting guidelines
Prospect and cross sell by identifying and recommending additional products/services that benefit the client.
Achieve individual goals for client service, sales, quality and productivity and contribute to the achievement of overall agency sales and growth goals
Support programs to build multi-client relationships
Respond to client questions and concerns, resolve customer complaints and escalate issues appropriately
Proactively complete client reviews on the auto, home and commercial lines portfolios
Support financial services sales activities in the agency
Working Conditions:
Regular office environment

To join our team:
General Insurance License is Required
Meet all provincial-licensing requirements in accordance with continuing education in order to obtain and maintain all licenses
Applicant should live locally
A minimum of one year of insurance industry experience including commercial insurance experience is preferred
Knowledge of auto and property insurance products and experience with selling techniques is an asset.
Commercial or farm insurance experience is an asset
Must be skilled in communication (verbal and written), organization, time management, client service, decision making, problem solving
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced collaborative environment
Candidate must be comfortable in a technology dependent environment including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Valid driver's license is required
Compensation - A competitive compensation package and benefits program.
