We are currently searching for an 3 rd Level Apprentice Insulator to join our team in Brandon, MB!!!

In accordance with the Collective Bargaining Agreement, the successful applicant will be hired into this position at \xe2\x80\x98B\' rate (currently$37.65/hour) and receive a Pay for Knowledge premium of$0.50/hour. All overtime is paid at double time.

Our Team

Koch Fertilizer Canada, ULC is based in Brandon, Manitoba. We synthesize and blend nitrogen, phosphate, and sulfur products with ammonia, which we market primarily in the prairie provinces of Canada and the northern United States. What You Will Do

• Read and interpret drawings and specifications to determine insulation requirements
• Select the amount and type of installation to be installed
• Select the method of securing the insulation per the conditions and uses
• Measure and cut insulating material and coverings to the required specifications
• Fit insulation around obstacles or shape insulation materials and protective coverings
• Install vapour barriers and finish insulated surfaces
• Work with a partner on assigned tasks
• Perform other related tasks as assigned
• Strong commitment to safety, environmental compliance, and plant reliability

Work Conditions and Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
• Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer
• Ability to sit, stand, kneel as necessary
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders, work at heights
• Ability to pass pulmonary breathing test
• Ability to wear gas mask-type respirator and PPE
• Tolerance to fumes and airborne particles (occasional exposure)
• Unassisted physical mobility in and around plant
• Availability for shift work and emergency call out
• Ability to travel to and enter site and access equipment

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Successfully completed 3 rd Level Apprentice Insulator
• Valid Class Five (5) driver\'s license

What Will Put You Ahead

• Valid Interprovincial Red Seal Insulating Certification
• Computer skills experience including working with maintenance planning programs such as Maximo or similar
• Mechanical and Operations experience
