Jardeg is recruiting Insulator Apprentice (3rd & 4th) to join the team at Bonnyville's Fabrication Shop near Bonnyville, AB. This is a 10 days on 4 days off shift with LOA and Travel pay.

Bonnyville's Fabrication Shop does fabrication and installation of process piping, structural steel and skid packages for the oil and gas industry anywhere in Alberta.





For over 40 years, the Bonnyville office and team have been providing specialized material requirements and technical services and support for industrial construction and applications. Our skilled and exceptionally experienced team ensures that the highest degree of quality, safety and material performance specifications are reliably met and rigorously adhered to in:

Pipe fabrication, fitting & welding Module assembly Prefabricated & painted steel structural erection Electrical & Instrumentation


Insulators apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation (e.g., calcium silicate, glass foam, mineral wool, Styrofoam, fiberglass) on all types of industrial equipment (e.g., duct piping, heat exchangers, tanks, vessels).

Local candidates to the Bonnyville/Cold Lake area will be preferred.

A Journeyperson Insulator will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks:

Install, maintain, and repair insulation on a variety of equipment, pipelines, vessels, and structures. Safely and accurately use hand and power-operated tools and equipment relevant to the insulation trade. Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and building codes to plan insulation projects effectively. Demonstrate expertise in the installation, fitting, fabrication, and attachment of insulation, finishing, and weatherproofing materials to meet the highest standard of workmanship. Collaborate with project teams to determine insulation requirements, select suitable materials, and implement efficient installation methods. Ensure precise insulation thickness and proper fit to achieve optimal energy efficiency and safety. Supervise, train, and coach apprentices, fostering their growth and development in the trade. Coordinate insulation work with other trades on the job site to ensure seamless project execution. Comply with all safety regulations and guidelines of the construction industry, prioritizing a safe work environment for all team members. Describe insulation materials, their uses, and appropriate applications accurately. Thoroughly understand and describe all systems requiring insulation within the scope of the project. Perform assigned tasks in adherence to industry-required quality and production standards.

Qualifications

Journeyperson Insulator certification or equivalent trade qualification. Proven experience as a Journeyman Insulator, preferably in industrial or construction settings. Comprehensive knowledge of insulation materials, tools, and installation techniques. Strong commitment to safety practices and protocols. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently in a team environment and independently as required. Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and project stakeholders. Safety Tickets: CSTS-2020, WHMIS, AWP & Fall Protection. Satisfactory completion of a Pre-Access Drug and Alcohol Test.
