Major Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership
Determines the Insulation Division's business development plan, establishes concrete objectives which are met through the effective management of human, financial and physical resources.
Establishes and monitors key performance indicators for the Insulation Division.
Leads Human Resources planning, training, and management direction within the framework of FundyPros values and learning culture.
Ensures that employees are provided with clear direction and expectations, effective supervision and motivation to effectively meet the business requirements.
Answers employee questions and resolves workplace issues.
Business Development
Creates short- and long-term strategic sales and marketing plans, executes the plans in a timely fashion.
Coordinates the gathering of sales metrics, market information and feedback on sales and marketing strategies.
Represents the company in negotiations or other official functions.
Monitors financial performance of the Insulation Division.
Shares information regarding new or potential sales activities, markets and product performance and customer feedback on a regular basis.
Liaises, consults and communicates with engineers, architects, owners, clients, contractors, Subcontractors, etc to prepare changes order and adjustments to cost estimates.
Operations Management
Establishes and maintains effective performance monitoring systems and monitors the execution of workflow pattern.
Prepares budgets and ensures that these are monitored on an ongoing basis.
Oversees cost monitoring and control on projects.
Oversees the management of projects including coordination of personnel, guidance to supervisory and technical staff, and client liaisons.
Ensures delivery of client requirements as per contractual agreement and FundyPros' quality requirements.
Identifies operating opportunities for continuous improvements and efficiencies.
Project Estimating
Prepares estimates of probable costs of materials, labour and equipment for construction projects based on contract bids, quotations, schematic drawings and specifications.
Prepares, examines and responds to tenders.
Prepares cost and expenditure statements and forecasts at regular intervals for the duration of a project.
Prepares and maintains a directory of suppliers, contractors and subcontractors.

Education and Expertise Required
The Insulation Manager, position requires that the incumbent have a thorough knowledge of the Insulation industries. The incumbent:
Must hold a diploma in a drafting, engineering and/or construction related fields or 5 years of experience in Insulation.
Have a minimum of 3 years work experience in a leadership role.
Possess good business and accounting skills.
Must be able to read and interpret building drawings and designs.
Competence in the use of word processing and spreadsheet software
Good competence in the use of the Internet for information research, E-mail, and IT systems generally
Project Management and Estimation skills are required.
