Do you want to be a part of driving the transition?Our E&I Engineering group in St. John\'s, NL are now looking for an Instrumentation Designer to join their team!What will you be doing?

  • Investigating problems, preparing study reports, completing detailed designs, and specifying new equipment related to the modification and maintenance of offshore oil and gas locations.
  • Liaising with the instrumentation team and other disciplines through work development; investigating, advising, and resolving design and field engineering problems.
  • Designing and drafting of engineering drawings based on notes, sketches, and vendor drawings including cable routings, control schematics, termination schedules, installation details, equipment layouts, and general arrangements.
  • Preparing requisitions and datasheets for bulk materials and field instruments including bid analysis; and liaising with the control system and equipment suppliers.
We think you should have:
  • Technical Diploma in a related field with 5 years\' experience in an industrial electrical/ instrumentation design setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in conceptual studies, detailed design, and engineering support projects utilizing 2D and 3D design programs
  • In depth knowledge of Instrumentation design codes and standards
  • SmartPlant Instrumentation (SPI) experience considered an asset.
