Based in Brandon, Manitoba, Koch Fertilizer Canada, ULC\'s operations have been producing agricultural fertilizer products since 1967. Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Intern (May - December 2024)

Koch Fertilizer Canada, ULC is looking for an energetic, highly motivated individual to join the Instrumentation & Controls Engineering Team for an eight (8) month term. This role offers a fast-paced working environment and opportunities for career development within our growing organization!

A Day in the Life May Include:
  • Working directly with Instrumentation & Controls Engineering and Reliability. Applying fundamentals and engineering tools to design Instrumentation and control systems.
  • Help in compiling scope of works, preparing Instrumentation and Control tender packages, construction and as-built drawings, project progress reports and other supporting documents.
  • Assisting engineers and technologists with project execution during all project phases.
  • Coordination with other engineering disciplines and consultants on multidisciplinary projects and communicating with clients, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Work with an assigned engineer to collect information required for indicators and trends.
The qualifications you have include:
  • Currently enrolled as a third- or fourth-year undergraduate student in an accredited post-secondary Electrical/Chemical/Instrumentation Engineering Program or Registered EIT
  • Demonstrated theoretical background on Instrumentation and Controls
  • Demonstrated initiative, ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Previous related co-op or internship experience is considered an asset
The work environment you\'ll be entering requires and includes:
  • Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather
  • Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and work at heights
  • Pass a pulmonary breathing test
  • Ability to don a respirator and PPE
  • Ability to work in an industrial manufacturing environment
Hours of Work: 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday, 1 hour lunch break

Wage: $30.88
