The Role:
Are you an upcoming or recent graduate looking to start your career in instrumentation within the energy industry? Keyera is seeking a New Graduate Instrumentation Apprentice to join our team. In this role, you will be an essential part of our Pipelines and Terminals Maintenance Group, supporting daily maintenance activities for instrumentation systems. This dynamic role requires travel, as you'll be working across multiple locations across Edmonton to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our equipment. You will work a 9-hour shift, 9/80 rotation.

Key Responsibilities:Assisting the instrumentation team in maintaining, calibrating, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of instrumentation systems.
Supporting regular maintenance activities on equipment such as flow meters, pressure sensors, temperature transmitters, and control systems.
Working on preventive maintenance programs, ensuring systems are operating correctly and efficiently.
Participating in daily rounds, inspections, and testing of instrumentation equipment.
Reporting any safety concerns or operational issues to your supervisors.
What we are looking for: We're looking for an enthusiastic, proactive individual who is passionate and eager to learn. The ideal candidate will have:Must be enrolled in an Instrumentation Certification program (indentured apprentice) OR recent RAP program graduate with a strong interest in pursuing Instrumentation. Must have graduated in the previous 24 months.
Strong commitment to safety and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Willingness to travel to various locations as part of the role.
Ability to work well in a team and a strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
A valid driver's license.
Prior experience in an industrial environment, particularly in oil & gas, chemical, or pipeline industries, is a plus.
Certifications in H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, and First Aid are advantageous.
Ability to wear respiratory protective equipment as required by Alberta OHS 250(2).
