Pharmascience is presently looking to hire an Instrumentation and Control Specialist on the night shift. The Specialist will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration and repair of process instruments. He/She will also be responsible for participating in the validation of plant equipment and systems in collaboration with the validation team.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT OF EQUIPMENT
  • Identify and repair problems on all instruments, control equipment and industrial automation.
  • Install, calibrate, validate, modify or refit control instruments or similar equipment based on the plans, drawings or instructions received.
  • Repair, modify all automation systems for facilities.
  • Check and adjust the data server recording systems for the control of the systems of the installations.
  • Make arrangements and supervise the work carried out by external contractors.
  • Create or modify drawings of control systems.
  • Contribute to the drafting of calibration procedures.
  • Manage and execute uniformity studies (monitoring);
  • Research the technical specifications of the components of the systems and equipment.
  • Perform backups and manage PLC programs.
  • Write the discrepancy reporting forms when required.
  • Prepare purchase requests.
SUPPORT AND IMPROVEMENT
  • Assist the validation group during system installations and qualifications.
  • Participate with the maintenance planner in the development of the preventive maintenance system for his sector of activity.
  • Seek permanent solutions using products and suppliers available on the market at the lowest possible cost.
  • Apply OHS and GMP rules.
  • Perform any other related task.
Skills, knowledge and abilities :
  • DEP/DEC training in Control/Automation or other related training
  • Autonomy and interpersonal skills.
  • Team spirit, sense of detail and analysis,
  • Perseverance for problem solving.
  • Ability to work under pressure and sense of priorities.
  • Basic computer knowledge
Experience : 0 years: Having a C license in electricity would be an asset
0 years: Experience in a pharmaceutical environment would be an asset
2 years: of experience in a similar position
