Conifer Energy Inc. is a new entrant to the Canadian Energy marketplace supported by senior industry professionals and an exemplary Operations staff. At inception, our production exceeds 7000 BOED and produces our energy from the best reservoirs in the province of Alberta not only for recovery, but also for their future Carbon Capture, Utilization, and Storage potential. We are currently recruiting for a full-time Instrument Technician based out of our Swan Hills/Whitecourt area. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years experience and currently resides in the Swan Hills/Whitecourt area or within 100km of the facilities or be willing to move. Responsibilities:

• Repair and troubleshoot instrumentation and control equipment on new or existing oil and gas process equipment and processes
• Inspect and test instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments
• Install process control instrumentation including transmitters, controllers, analyzers and control valves
• Manage the maintenance, troubleshooting, programming, and installation of Electric Heat Trace (EHT) and Heat Trace Controllers
• Day-to-day maintenance, troubleshooting and repair and process control equipment, heat trace, electric actuated valves and other associated equipment
• DCS programming and troubleshooting (PLC), control software and human-machine interface systems
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and completion of test and maintenance reports
• Ensure activities are in compliance with all company and regulatory standards, policies, and procedures

Qualifications:

• Minimum five year\xe2\x80\x99s experience as a qualified Instrumentation Tradesperson in an energy or heavy industrial environment
• Knowledge and experience troubleshooting the following equipment and systems: Allen Bradley, Flo boss, SCADA Pack RTUs as well as utilizing multimeters, Loop calibrators, and other related test equipment
• Industrial Network experience (Device Net, DH+, Ethernet, and Modbus)
• Knowledge of applicable provincial and federal regulations/codes
• Possess a high degree of initiative, creativity, communication skills, self-supervision, and respect for safety requirements
• Provide 24-hour on-call support on a rotating basis
