Job Description
Yukon University is seeking a Basic Adult Education Instructor / coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching basic adult education courses to students of all ages and backgrounds. The instructor will be responsible for developing and delivering lesson plans, assessing student progress, and providing feedback to students. The position will also assist with day-to-day operations and coordination duties on an as needed basis.This is a full-time term position until March 28, 2025, with strong possibility of extension for the right candidate.Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver lesson plans for basic adult education courses.
- Assess student progress and provide feedback to students.
- Work with students of all ages and backgrounds.
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff members to ensure the success of the program.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in adult education.
- Recruit and register students, track student progress, provide learner support.
- Help support campus operations and university outreach tasks when required.
- Bachelor\'s degree in education or a related field.
- Experience teaching basic adult education courses.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work with students of all ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other instructors and staff members.
