Web Programming

instructor in Graphic Media Design Program to teach on a part-time basis.

As an instructor, you will:

Teach engaging and practical classes. Track attendance and assess student progress effectively. Foster a positive and inspiring learning environment. Deliver engaging and practical lessons in web programming, focusing on HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and related technologies. Introduce students to modern development tools and workflows, including version control (Git), frameworks (e.g., React, Vue), and introductory back-end concepts. Provide hands-on guidance through projects and code reviews, helping students understand both technical and conceptual challenges. Develop and update instructional materials such as lesson plans, assignments, and assessments. Collaborate with fellow instructors and staff to ensure a consistent and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications and Skills

We are looking for individuals with a broad range of expertise, including:

A diploma or degree in Web Development, Computer Science, or a related field. Professional experience in web development, including front-end and back-end projects. Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with one or more frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Node.js, Express). Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility. Experience with Git and modern development tools and workflows. Teaching or mentoring experience is an asset, but not required--enthusiasm and clear communication are key. Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. A willingness to support students in their learning journey and share real-world insight from your professional experience.

Preference will be given to applicants who have:

Teaching experience.
