Position:?Behaviour Technician Position Summary:

The Behaviour Technician will provide direct Intensive Behavioural Intervention (IBI) and ABA services for children.
Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Monitor clients' progress and effectiveness of individualized programs Implement IBI programs Record and graph treatment data Write reports and progress notes Flag exceptional circumstances in regards to changes to the program Work collaboratively with parents and team members in the treatment planning process Attend supervision meetings Reliably keep consistent schedule with families. Ensure requirements for documentation of clinical services are implemented Community support Participate in toileting and self-help routines with clients (if required)
What we are looking for:

A College Diploma or University Degree in a related field Experience working with children with special needs Outstanding organizational, interpersonal and time management skills Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work collaboratively with other team members A valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle or other reliable method of transportation (when travel is required) Experience as an Instructor Therapist (IT) implementing ABA/IBI programming (training will be provided as required) Enthusiastic, self-motivated to teach and learn more about Applied Behavior Analysis Individual able to multi task in a high intensity environment
ABA/Autism related Diploma/Certificate is an asset.
Successful candidates are required to complete a criminal background check (with Vulnerable Sector).

Requirements:

CPR and First Aid completed and up to date Transportation: Must be willing to travel within Durham Region and the GTA, shifts will take place in client's home. Access to a computer and smart phone Adherence to Behavior Analyst Certification Board Professional and Ethical Compliance Code and the Standards of Practice from the Ontario Associated for Behaviour Analysts (ONTABA) Must be able to independently and repeatedly lift, move and carry objects weighing up to 35 lbs, must be able to sit on the floor with children, be able to run, walk at a fast pace and be energetic.
