Overview


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Instructor Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in providing ABA therapy related services, particularly for children, and will be committed to enhancing the well-being of our patients. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise, empathy, and effective communication skills to support the diverse needs of our clients.

Duties



Providing therapy to children with autism spectrum disorder aged 18 months to 14 years, based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), under the supervision of the Board Certified Behavior Analyst and senior therapist. Providing ABA therapy that assists in the development of social/interpersonal, cognitive, school readiness, fine motor, personal responsibility/adaptive, play and leisure, and self-regulation abilities, as well as the reduction of challenging behavior. Assisting clients with physical, intellectual, visual, and hearing disabilities or multiple disorders to develop life skills. Assessing clients' strengths and needs by conducting the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills, Revised (ABLLS-R), and Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) assessments. Monitoring progress through data collection and graphing. Communicating with parents, as needed, through daily/weekly communication sheets, in-person communications, and parent training in-home and in-center. Collaborating with specialists, such as speech-language pathologists, and occupational therapists, to develop programs for clients' special needs.

Experience



Previous experience working with children with ASD (1 year) Background in autism and behaviour science or child development is a plus. A strong understanding of special education principles will enhance the ability to support diverse learning needs. Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 - 20 per week
