ABA Therapists will work under the direction of a Clinical Supervisor, and using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis, the ABA Therapist provides intervention services in an individual and or group therapy settings to children and youth with challenging behaviours. Responsibilities may include direct behavioral therapy at various intensities, summarization of data on observable behaviours, preparation of resources, and collaboration with the treatment plan team including the client, caregivers, school staff, and community agencies.

To be considered for this position, candidates should meet the following criteria:



Hold a degree or diploma in the area of psychology or human services (e.g. early childhood education, child and youth work, autism and behavioural studies, developmental service worker);

Completed or willing to complete the Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) Certificate;

Related experience working with children, youth and adults to provide behavioural intervention for individuals diagnosed with autism is preferred;

Knowledge and skills in implementing behavioural strategies is preferred;

Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team;

Creativity and flexibility.

Current CPR/First Aid certification; Clear Criminal Record Check including vulnerable sector screening.

Completed or willing to complete Safe Management Training or Crisis Prevention Institute Training.

Hold a valid Ontario Driver's Licence and access to a personal vehicle; and carry 2 million dollars liability insurance.

ABA Therapists may travel within the city and surrounding areas of Greater Sudbury. ABA Therapists will be required to work in a variety of environments including Centre-based, school, home, and virtual in order to meet needs of children, youth and families.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$28.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
