Instructor Therapist - Belleville & Trenton Area

Quinte Assessment and Treatment Group Inc. is in immediate need of Instructor Therapists in the Belleville and Trenton areas to provide Autism Program services utilizing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). Service plans for children and families are designed to develop skills that improve functional living and communication and reduce behaviours that impede this learning. The Instructor Therapist will provide ABA programs to children and their families under the direction and supervision of a Senior Therapist and Registered Behaviour Analyst Clinical Supervisor.

We will provide initial and ongoing on-site training to suitable candidates. Training would include but not be limited to: ABA principles, observations, direct supervision, data collection processes, Crisis Prevention & Intervention training certification, Behaviour Management Systems training certification, and more!

Quinte Assessment and Treatment Group Inc. www.qxplore.com is a multidisciplinary private practice that provides various psychological and psychotherapeutic assessment and treatment services. Our autism program offers services to children and youth with Autism Spectrum Disorder under the Ontario Autism Program and privately.

Qualifications:

A College Diploma or University Degree related to Behavioural Science (BST), Psychology, Developmental Services Worker (DSW), Social Services Worker (SSW), Children and Youth Care (CYC), Early Childhood Educator (ECE) or equivalent;

A valid driver's license, car insurance, and access to a personal vehicle for the provision of home and school services;

A recent criminal background check with a vulnerable sector search.

Skills and Experience:

Enthusiasm in working intensively with children and youth;

Motivation and ability to learn and expand ABA and IBI skills within a motivated and creative clinical team;

Experience applying the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis and working with children and youth who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder is an asset;

Experience working with children and youth with significant behavioural issues, a particular asset.

Strong organizational, self-direction, time management, documentation, and communication skills;

Progressive remuneration ranges from $22 - $30 an hour based on education, skills and experience.

Full and part time work is available. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, are generally between 9:00am to 5:00pm, in a school or home setting. Evening and weekend work may also be available.
