The Supervised Instructor Therapist will provide Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) Services to our clients in compliance of the BACB Code of Ethics located at www.bacb.com and the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). The Supervised Instructor Therapist will work on a team to assist clients in skill acquisition, family coaching and behaviour reduction protocols while maintaining the utmost respect to fellow staff members, clients and external agency professionals. Sessions will be conducted in the home, community or via tele-health.

The Supervised Instructor Therapist will report to the Director of Georgian Bay ABA .
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement skill-based programming under the direction and guidance of the Behaviour Analyst/Clinical Supervisor using the principles of applied behaviour analysis 1:1 in the home and/or community setting.
Implement direct applied behaviour analysis (ABA), behaviour management strategies and skill acquisition programs with clients.
Understand and follow ethical guidelines in accordance to the BACB and CPBAO
Run individualized programs as designed by the Behaviour Analyst on your team and collect accurate data in real-time throughout session.
Work on caseload and make the best clinical decisions for your client, subject to your supervisor's discretion
Participate in team meetings with staff, parents, schools and other professionals or
Participate in professional development training as determined by your Clinical Supervisor.
Provide parent training, education and support services.
Adhere to agency requirements with relation to report writing and record keeping.
Communicate briefly with parents re: progress of their child (orally and in session notes).
Maintain order with client binders, materials and data sheets.
Follow all risk management practices supporting health and safety for clients, staff, families etc.
Address any workplace difficulties or problems to immediately to management directly.
Maintain client confidentiality.
Ensure your certifications remain up-to-date.
QUALIFICATIONS:
College diploma or university degree in a field related to behavioural science technology, psychology, or social services.
Two years' experience working with children and youth on the Autism Spectrum and their families, using the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis
Knowledge of the principles of ABA and ability to translate these into effective intervention strategies for children and youth.
A full G license and daily access to a vehicle (Required)
Current Standard First Aid with Level C CPR or higher (Required)
Vulnerable Sector Police Check (Required)
Non-violent crisis Intervention or equivalent qualification (Preferred)
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Proof of up-to-date immunizations or Doctor's exemption note
Eligibility to work in Canada
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Can regularly walk, kneel, crawl, bend, crouch, stand up from the ground, and sit on the floor or in child-sized chairs for extended periods of time. Must also have the ability to lift and carry or otherwise move a pediatric population (up to 50 pounds).
Occasionally may require running or otherwise moving quickly.
Exhibit manual dexterity to regularly use and enter data into a computer/tablet/phone.
Specific vision abilities/visual acuity required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
Be able to read and comprehend written communication through computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
Specific auditory abilities required include perceiving the nature of sounds at normal to below normal speaking levels with or without correction, ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and to make discrimination in sound, spatial awareness of sounds and speech at a variety of volume levels, often in background noise.
Be able to speak in a manner easily understood and receive detailed information through oral communication.
If required by a Behaviour Intervention Plan, must be willing and able to utilize safe & appropriate handling procedures.
