We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Behaviour Therapist with at least 1 year working directly with individuals with special needs (e.g. autism). As a Behaviour Therapist, you will work with individuals, particularly between the ages of 4-17 years old, diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities. Those who are collecting BCBA supervision hours will also get the opportunity to collect hours both direct and indirect under the direction of a RBA (Registered Behaviour Analyst).
Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans designed by the Clinical Supervisor (Board Certified Behavior Analyst)
- Provide one-on-one therapy sessions in person to clients in home
- Collect and analyze data on client progress
- Flag Clinical Supervisor if client is having any barriers or struggling during sessions
- Collaborate with families and caregivers to ensure consistency in treatment (i.e. parent training)
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to track client progress
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records
Skills
- Experience working with individuals with special needs (i.e. ASD) for at least 1 year minimum
- Proficiency in data collection and analysis
- Knowledge of special education practices (i.e. certification in Autism and Behavioural Science)
- Ability to work effectively with children and communicate clearly and compassionately
Schedule
- During school year (4:00-6:00pm)- can be flexible depending on client and staff
- During break (summer break, March break, Winter break)- hours can be flexible depending on client and staff
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $25.00-$40.00 per hour
