Job Duties/Qualifications, Skills and Abilities(QSA)
1. Under the direction of the OOS Manager and Program Head, provide leadership support for the Simulation Centre (SC) for both the hospital unit and technology unit.
2. Collaborate with the simulation faculty in the SC working with programs to:
Determine appropriate simulation technology applications
Determine scenario content
Integrate the use of technology and simulation in the curriculum
Orientate faculty, staff and students in the use of simulators,
delivery of simulated clinical experience/scenarios.
Evaluate effectiveness of simulation experiences.
3. Assist the co-faculty to develop and revise specific scenario content.
4. Collaborate and assist the simulation technician and simulation coordinator with planning and scheduling simulation events including developing and managing processes for packaging, processing and distribution of supplies.
5. Collaborate in development and maintenance of IPSLC policies and procedures.
6. Assist in the development of evaluation tools to determine effectiveness of simulation experiences.
7. Monitor simulation events (scenarios) in conjunction with program faculty to evaluate student progress and provide feedback related to simulation experiences.
8. Work with programs to create inter-professional learning opportunities in the SC.
9. Collaborate with simulation administration and simulation coordinator with scheduling professional services staff.
10. Establish and maintain internal relationships with faculty in the Science and Health and Nursing Divisions.
11. Establish and maintain external relationships with counterparts from other educational institutions, simulation lab professionals, vendors, representatives of the community, health industry and health education leaders, nationally and internationally.
12. Collaborate with Virtual Campus for development of virtual lab opportunities.
13. Participate in program, division, Campus, SaskPolytech, industry and professional or other stakeholder activities.
14. Evening, weekends and travel may be required.

1. Bachelor's degree in Nursing; eligible for registration (active status) with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses' Association.
2. A minimum of two years recent and relevant experience as a Registered Nurse. No prior experience in a simulation or learning environment is required.
3. Effective communication skills (written and oral).

5. Effective instructional ability, including ability to select and use various technologies and delivery methods to support education and learning activities.
6. Ability to apply theory, practices and principles of adult education.
