Job Overview



KCC is currently seeking an experienced and passionate instructor to teach

PC206 - Self-Care: Kootenay Co-op Wellness Series

, a course in our

Registered Massage Therapy (RMT)

program. This part-time instructional role includes both theoretical and practical content aimed at empowering students with tools for personal wellness, self-care, and professional longevity.

Duties & Responsibilities



Deliver high-quality lectures and demonstrations in accordance with curriculum objectives and PTIRU requirements. Update and maintain course outlines and materials in collaboration with the academic team. Upload all lecture materials, outlines, and slides to the Learning Management System (LMS) prior to course delivery. Create, administer, and grade quizzes, assignments, and exams. Maintain accurate student records, including attendance and performance assessments, and input grades into the LMS in a timely manner. Offer student mentorship and support while maintaining professional boundaries. Participate in course reviews and updates to ensure compliance with evolving industry and regulatory standards. Engage in professional development and educational training as required by PTIRU and KCC policies. Attend faculty meetings and collaborate with fellow instructors to enrich the academic and clinical education environment. Respond promptly to student and faculty communications via the designated college email system.

Minimum Qualifications



Must be a

Holistic Nutritionist

,

Naturopathic Doctor (ND)

,

Registered Dietitian (RD)

, or hold

equivalent clinical credentials

in wellness, integrative health, or lifestyle medicine. Minimum

2,500 hours of clinical practice experience

(in alignment with PTIRU instructional standards). Teaching experience or a demonstrated interest in education is strongly preferred. Comfortable using technology for instruction (e.g., LMS platforms, video conferencing, digital grading). Professional, organized, and collaborative.

Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Ability to motivate and inspire students from diverse backgrounds. High level of professionalism, accountability, and ethical conduct. Demonstrated collaboration and teamwork with faculty and administration. Interest in holistic, multi-modal, and integrative education approaches.
