Instructor, Public Relations & Communication Management (Term Full-Time)



Creative Communications

POSITION TYPE

: Full-Time, Term Position Available (anticipated December 15, 2025 up to June 15, 2026)

SALARY

: $63,375 - $96,946 per annum
The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.

DUTIES



Reporting to the Chair, Creative Communications and Communication Management, Red River College Polytechnic is looking for an Instructor for Public Relations and Communication Management. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, supervision and guidance of students, student evaluation, advising of students, maintenance of student records and other professional duties related to instruction. Subject areas for instruction include organizational communication strategy and content creation across diverse industries, objectives, and stakeholder groups. The incumbent is also required to participate in department and College committees and assist in student orientation and graduation activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


Diploma in Creative Communications with specialization in Public Relations and Communication Management, or an equivalent post-secondary education. An equivalent combination of education and industry experience may be considered Significant experience in roles of increasing responsibility in organizational communication in Canada Experience managing both internal and external stakeholder relations on behalf of an employer or client in Canada A proven track record of success in strategic communication management on behalf of an employer or client in Canada Proven success employing both traditional and digital communication platforms to achieve organizational objectives Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes Demonstrated leadership skills Strong presentation skills Ability to teach on campus and remotely Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT


Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE) May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
