The Opportunity


Keyano College is currently seeking a full time Power Engineering Instructor. Reporting to the Steam Chief, Power Engineering/Process Operations & Power Lab, the successful candidate will be required to prepare and instruct quality lessons and complete demonstrations as directed in curriculum and course outlines in all aspects of the Power Engineering/Process Operations program.




Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB.

Duties & Responsibilities


Program curriculum review and updating. Theoretical classroom delivery and practical lab applications. Maintenance of course outlines, student documentation and records. Participation in student recruitment activities, tutoring, and academic counseling of students as required as required.

Qualifications


Minimum of Power Engineering 3rd Class Certification Minimum 5 years' relevant industry experience or a combination of industry and commissioning experience Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching in an adult learning environment would be considered an asset Experience with online learning management systems such as WebCT and Moodle would be considered an asset

Compensation and Benefits

This position qualifies for additional payment of the Northern Living Allowance of $1,040.00 per month (This allowance is reviewed annually and is subject to budget approval).
