Paramedicine

POSITION TYPE:

2 Full-Time, Term Positions Available (anticipated August 18, 2025 up to May 1, 2026)

SALARY:

$63,375 - $96,946 per annum
The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.

DUTIES



Red River College Polytechnic requires Instructors for the Paramedicine programs. The instructors will deliver both the theoretical and practical aspects of the Advanced Care and Primary Care Paramedic programs. Duties include classroom instruction, supervision and guidance of students, student evaluation, delivery, advising of students, maintenance of student records, development, and modification of curriculum, maintenance of lab and classroom equipment. The incumbents will also required to participate in department and College committees, assist in student orientation and graduation activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


Certificate/Diploma in Advanced Care Paramedicine Active registration with College of Paramedics of Manitoba Extensive and current clinical experience as a paramedic Strong verbal and written communication skills Effective presentation skills with ability to present material to diverse groups with the use of appropriate technology Demonstrated leadership skills Strong presentation skills Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes Ability to teach on campus and remotely Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS


Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction Experience developing and instructing distance-delivered courses including online Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level

Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including a Vulnerable Persons Sector Check Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE) This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses Please note that applicants internal to Red River College Polytechnic must apply through My Portal on HRIS Unlimited.
