The Seniors Health, North Zone team is a dynamic group of interdisciplinary professionals geographically dispersed across northern Alberta, and we're looking for an innovative professional to join us as the Clinical Nurse Educator - Palliative Care. In this role, you will be part of the Palliative Care Team, supporting and sustaining effective care through education resource development and delivery for direct care clinicians, Palliative Care Team members and other key stakeholders. The education developed and delivered by the Clinical Nurse Educator - Palliative Care aligns with current best practice evidence and applicable standards and guidelines, such as the Continuing Care Health Service standards, legislation, quality improvement, strategic plans, and organizational/contracted provider needs. As the Clinical Nurse Educator - Palliative Care, you will be responsible for planning, co-developing, facilitating, coordinating and supporting the implementation of education related to common issues and specific clinical situations in complex palliative care the North Zone. You may support other Seniors Health education and support in the PCRN role when required.
Description:
As an Instructor, you will be an expert practitioner and key educator in support of both nursing staff and the multi-disciplinary clinical team. You will take a leadership role in the planning, coordination, implementation and evaluation of education for nursing staff including orientation, compulsory and continuing education, and clinical development. You will collaborate with management and internal partners to promote standards of clinical, educational and evidence informed practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
