As the Instructor, Level 2, you will be responsible for directly supporting the Head Instructor within specific sports or arts area. The Instructor, II will work as part of a team to ensure a safe, productive and enjoyable experience for all campers. This position requires a high level of experience and quality leadership skills.
WHAT IS AMAZING ABOUT THIS JOB:

• Provide support to the Head Instructor in the planning of activities
• Instruct and lead lessons, activities and games
• Participate actively in all aspects of the campers\xe2\x80\x99 day including activities, meal times, games etc.
• Maintain positive relations with Campers, parents and other staff
• Follow all camp procedures and policies to include Appleby\xe2\x80\x99s Mutual Respect policy
• Participate in all required training related to Health & Safety
• Ensure the safety and supervision of all campers

YOU WILL BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU:

• Have a minimum of 2nd year university/college and/or post-secondary work experience
• Possess knowledge & previous experience instructing specific area (Sports, Arts or Other Programs)
• Are great at communicating and have experience working/volunteering with children in a camp setting in a leadership role
• Can provide instruction/ run activities confidently in front of groups of campers
• Are team oriented, motivational and creative
• Have excellent time management and organizational skills
• Enjoy being energetic and enthusiastic
• Obtain additional certifications such as Bronze Cross and/or lifeguarding (an asset); coaching certifications experience for Sports Camps is an asset
• Have valid Standard First Aid and CPR \xe2\x80\x93 C (certified on, or after Sept. 2021)
• Make yourself available to attend the required training session in the evening on from June 2 - 4 ,2023 Camp Set up Day & Camp Family BBQ: Saturday June 17, 2023
