Are you interested in providing safe and enjoyable aquatic services through one of Winnipeg's many pool facilities? We are accepting applications to fill current vacancies.
As the
Instructor Guard,you will:
Instruct Lifesaving and Learn to Swim programs. Lifeguard Public Swim and Aquatic programs. Perform daily facility maintenance duties.
Your education and qualifications include:
Manitoba Fitness Council certifications for Group; Resistance; Older Adults; Aqua Fitness would be an asset. NCCP certification for Water Polo; Synchronized Swimming; Diving would be an asset.
IMPORTANT
: Applicants who have been educated outside of Canada must have education which is comparable to the minimum qualification in Canada. National Lifeguard - Pool Swim for Life Instructor Lifesaving Instructor Standard First Aid Certificate (St John Ambulance, Red Cross, or Aquatic Emergency Care). CPR Level C/AED Certificate (St. John's Ambulance, Red Cross, or Aquatic Emergency Care). Renewed annually. A Police Information Check (Vulnerable Sector) satisfactory to the employer will be required from the successful candidate(s), at their expense. To obtain Police Information Check information please visit www.winnipeg.ca/police. The successful applicant must maintain legal eligibility to work in Canada. If the successful applicant possesses a work permit, it is their responsibility to ensure the permit remains valid. * Must be 16 years of age.
