POSITION TYPE:

Part-Time Position Available

SALARY:

$63,375 - $96,946 per annum
The successful candidate with a Masters or PhD in a related field will receive an Educational Supplement of $2,850 or $5,700 per annum, respectively, pro-rated on an hourly basis.

DUTIES



Reporting to the Chair of Community, Education, and Youth, Red River College Polytechnic is looking for an Instructor for the Educational Assistant program. Responsibilities include classroom instruction, supervision and guidance of students, student evaluation, advising of students, maintenance of student records and other professional duties related to instruction. Examples of subject areas are Managing Behaviour, Math Content & Practice, Professionalism. The incumbent is also required to participate in department and College committees and assist in student orientation and graduation activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor of Education; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered Significant progressive experience in the Education field, including teaching in a school environment and working with Support Staff including Educational Assistants Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to use conflict resolution techniques to facilitate positive outcomes Demonstrated leadership skills Strong presentation skills Ability to teach on campus and remotely Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office Suite Ability to work independently as well as in small to large group settings Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

ASSET QUALIFICATIONS


Experience developing curriculum and instructing at a post-secondary level Certificate in Teaching for Learning or Adult Education Experience developing and instructing distance-delivered courses including online Experience using a Learning Management System (LMS) to deliver blended (synchronous and asynchronous) instruction Knowledge of EDIA programs and initiatives, anti-racism, accessibility, or inclusive leadership

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT


Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada This position may be required to work evenings and/or weekends This position may be required to work throughout the academic year including the summer months Instructors are required to complete the Teaching for Learning (TFL) in Applied Education program or have previously completed the Certificate in Adult Education (CAE) May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses The incumbent must hold a valid Manitoba Teaching certificate and be in good standing Please note that applicants internal to Red River College Polytechnic must apply through My Portal on HRIS Unlimited.
