Lakeland College\xe2\x80\x99s School of Agricultural Sciences has an exciting opportunity for a career-minded and energetic instructor with a passion for teaching in a multi-disciplinary team-orientated atmosphere at the Vermilion Campus. Our School is home to the Student Managed Farm, which features diverse livestock herds, bison, equine, a dairy operation, and extensive crop land, offering a unique, hands-on learning environment. This continuing Full-time position commencing in August of 2024 will provide instruction and guidance to students through the development and delivery of courses with a focus on communications, marketing, business management and practicum experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Developing curriculum as well as providing instruction and guidance to students
• Developing and delivering courses, including but not limited to communications, agri-food and tourism, marketing, risk management, business planning and entrepreneurship and experiential learning coordination
• Conducting classroom, lab, and field trip sessions, as well as preparing and assessing assignments and examinations
• Fostering industry partnerships to enhance student and program connections
• Participating in program and department meetings
• Providing instruction and guidance to students through the development and delivery of courses with a focus on communications, marketing, business management and practicum experiences

Job Requirements

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Business or a closely related field
• Three years of industry experience in agriculture and/or food production systems
• Experience in developing and delivering innovative course content
• Knowledge and experience with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Ability to communicate effectively with refined presentation and facilitation skills
• Demonstrates a positive attitude, willingness to accept and promote change
• Ability to lead and motivate others and be committed to collaboration, effective goal-setting and evaluation, and professional accountability
