Job Summary





Timeless Medical Systems is looking for an

Instructional Designer

to join our team and create engaging, effective training materials for our software products. In this role, you'll manage the full training lifecycle, from initial needs analysis to final delivery and evaluation. You'll work with the training team and the subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop a variety of self-paced training resources, including job aids, instructional videos, and interactive simulations.



Join our small, collaborative team of three experts in content creation. Despite spanning three time zones, we're a tight-knit and in-tune group that works together seamlessly using tools like Microsoft Word, FrameMaker, and ActivePresenter.



The incumbent will play a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the training team by supporting the Senior Training Manager in identifying specific needs and ensuring we continue to deliver world-class training for both internal and external customers.

Job Duties




Design and Development

: Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy for instructional content. Design and create a range of learning materials, including e-learning modules, video tutorials, technical manuals, and quick-reference guides.

Needs Analysis

: Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to identify training needs and gaps. Translate complex technical information and business processes into clear, concise, and engaging learning content.

Content Creation

: Author and edit a variety of training materials, ensuring they're accurate and up-to-date. This includes writing scripts, storyboarding videos, and designing interactive exercises.

Project Management

: Manage multiple instructional design projects simultaneously, from conception to completion. Ensure all training materials are delivered on time and within scope.

Evaluation and Improvement

: Use feedback and data to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs. Continuously iterate and improve existing content to enhance the learning experience.



Job Requirements




Education

in a related field is preferred.

Instructional Design Experience

: Proven experience as an instructional designer, preferably in a software or technology-focused environment. A strong portfolio demonstrating a variety of instructional materials is a plus.

Technical Proficiency:

Proficiency with video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Camtasia), e-learning authoring software (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate), and productivity tools like Microsoft Word.
You must also be comfortable using AI for tasks such as content generation and research.

Understanding of Learning Theory

: A solid understanding of adult learning theory and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM).

Teamwork and Communication

: Excellent communication skills with the ability to be consultative and build strong relationships with SMEs, stakeholders, and team members. You must be a team player who can collaborate effectively to achieve project goals.

Attention to Detail

: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills. A meticulous eye for detail and an ability to maintain accuracy in technical content.
