Duties

Engage with customers to provide exceptional service and support during their shopping experience. Conduct product demonstrations to showcase features and benefits, encouraging customers to make informed purchasing decisions. Utilize POS systems for processing transactions efficiently, ensuring accurate cash handling and cashiering practices. Maintain merchandising standards by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and ensuring product availability. Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales techniques. Implement upselling strategies to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction. Apply retail math skills to manage inventory levels effectively and assist in stock management. Uphold phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries or complaints, ensuring all interactions are professional and courteous.

Skills

Strong customer service orientation with the ability to engage effectively with diverse clientele. Proficient in POS systems and cash handling procedures. Experience in retail sales with a solid understanding of merchandising principles. Basic math skills for accurate transaction processing and inventory management. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly. Bilingual abilities are a plus, enhancing communication with a broader customer base. Previous experience in supervising staff is advantageous but not required. Familiarity with grocery store operations is preferred but not mandatory.
