JOB DESCRIPTION: The Institute for Sustainable Horticulture (ISH) partners with agricultural and agri-technology companies in our region to support innovation with research and development projects that promote sustainability in the sector. Some of our current projects involve generating registration data for microbial biopesticides. We need an assistant to help assemble a data package for a biofungicide for submission to Health Canada for consultation and registration. A short-term fulltime position is available to help develop this data package from our existing reports and data. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with the team to understand the requirements for registration.
  • Review reports and data and develop a strategy for responding to all data requirements, tables (DACO tables) and identify gaps
  • Prepare and identify templates for data compilation
  • Write introductions, literature review, discussion and conclusions, for specific topics
  • Write rationales as needed to replace data in a registration package
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in biocontrol, microbial biopesticides, data related to efficacy and safety
  • Good computer skills and knowledge
  • Excellent writing and ability to synthesize data from several sources
  • Teamwork experience also an asset
REPORTS TO: Director, Institute for Sustainable Horticulture HOURS: 40 hours/week + 4% vacation pay (paid with each paycheque)
REMUNERATION: based on experience DURATION: ASAP till March 31, 2023
