Position Scope
We are seeking an energetic Welder / Installation Technician / Installer to work in a manufacturing environment with other general labourers and fabricators to assemble and install large and small components in different projects. Key Responsibilities
- Perform tasks involving physical labour and operate hand and power tools
- Setup welding equipment according to the job requirement
- Plan and select optimal welding processes and parameters to ensure minimum distortion and warping
- Prepare material for assembly, including cutting and preparation of raw materials
- Weld using GTAW and GMAW processes on stainless steel and/or aluminum
- Clean and grind welds
- Perform housekeeping duties and comply with company safety policies
- Assembles FPS freezer equipment on customer site
- Minimum 2 years of Tig/Mig welding experience
- Experience in a heavy industrial setting or previous experience doing assembly in a manufacturing environment is a definite asset
- Possess valid travel documents for travelling to the States and worldwide
- Able to weld in a variety of welding positions
- Able to read and understand engineering assembling drawings
- Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Capable of operating forklift, overhead crane and a variety of hand tools
- Knowledge of safe working procedures and practices
- Able to effectively communicate and problem-solve with supervisors and team members
- Substantial travelling required
