Installation Manager

RFNOW Inc. is seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our team as an

Installation Manager. This is an opportunity to work in a growing organization that will offer a great variety in its day-to-day duties.

Role & Responsibilities:

Installation & Technical Work

o Install, terminate, and test fiber optic cables within residential and commercial buildings.


o Mount and configure ONTs, routers, switches, media converters, and CAT6 cable runs.


o Set up wireless networks, VoIP telephone systems, and perform basic network troubleshooting.


o Use tools such as OTDRs and loss test sets to verify signal integrity and resolve issues.


o Ensure all work complies with industry standards, safety protocols, and customer specifications.

Customer Service

o Professionally represent RFNOW on customer sites.


o Communicate installation processes and provide equipment overviews to customers.


o Address client questions or concerns on-site and escalate issues when needed.

Documentation & Quality

o Accurately complete all job-related documentation, including work orders and service confirmations.


o Perform post-installation checks to ensure service quality and satisfaction.


o Report and document any deficiencies or unexpected obstacles encountered during installation.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

o Coordinate with dispatch, network operations, and project teams to ensure timely and efficient service delivery.


o Attend team meetings and participate in safety briefings and continuous learning initiatives.


o Support other field team members and assist with training when required

Team Leadership & Management

o Manage and support the installation team by assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring high-quality workmanship.


o Participate in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new installation technicians as needed.


o Approve employee timecards and manage time-off requests, ensuring adequate coverage and adherence to project timelines.


o Conduct regular team check-ins and support ongoing performance management, mentoring, and skill development.


o Advocate for the needs and concerns of team members, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and information required to succeed.

Qualifications & Experience:

Demonstrated success in leading a team through project management and execution is an asset. Previous experience in telecom installation is beneficial, including: + troubleshooting
+ OTDR and Loss test set
+ setting up wireless routers and telephone systems
Must have strong written and verbal communication and customer service skills. Planning, analytical and reporting abilities are all assets. Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and provide a current clean driver abstract. Ability to travel to various work sites as workload dictates. Overtime may be necessary in some situations to meet customer delivery commitments, including some night and weekend work. Work in all weather conditions
