Position: Service Install Technician
Location: Ottawa
Salary: $29 to $32 an hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Permanent
Schedule: 5 days on 2 days off, 4 days on 3 days off
Hours: Day shift hours between 8 am and 6:30pm based on scheduled house calls

What you need to succeed:

- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and internal team members
- Willingness to seek out continuous improvement opportunities related to installation, recovery and service processes
- Ability to effectively manage time to complete projects/repairs on schedule
- Ability to effectively solve sometimes complex issues

Duties:

- Perform job site inspection to assess home for water intrusion, rot, mold and other issues
- Confirm job-site is suitable for installation
- Determine quality of previous sub-contracted installations and give feedback to management as needed
- Assist the installation teams, project coordinators, and sales team in formulating the Recovery Plan for installation projects as needed
- Work with the sales team and installers to complete order fulfillment
- Perform and complete service tasks
- Diagnose and problem solves issues
- Replace glass in windows or doors
- Install items including sashes, window shades, blinds, muntin, screens, etc.
- Provide customers with helpful information on the care, operation and maintenance of products
- Complete necessary documentation and identify items that need attention or correction prior to project finalization
- Collect payment from customer as required
- Identify and order parts for follow up service calls
- Maintain stock of all necessary parts and equipment on a weekly basis
- Aid in the training of new Sales Consultants, Service Technicians and team members
- Maintain assigned company vehicle

Requirements:

- High School Diploma and/or Technical school
- Field service experience
- Knowledge of general construction and/or window and door applications
- Familiarity with computer systems
- Experience with power tools
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Must have a valid Ontario Driver\'s license
- Clean driver\'s abstract
- Clean criminal check
