TransCanada Turbines (TCT) is the sole authorized overhaul, repair and maintenance service provider for Siemens Energy and General Electric (GE) aeroderivative industrial gas turbines, serving an expanding international client base.

We are currently seeking an experienced

Inspector - Component Repair

to join our growing team. This position will be located in our Balzac depot location.



Reporting to the Team Leader of Component Repair, the Component Repair Inspector is responsible for confirming and signing off that all repairs have been completed as per repair manuals and engineered documentation, specializing in Siemens and General Electric aero-derivative gas turbines.


Duties





The duties will include, but not be limited to, the following:


Perform final inspection on gas turbine components to ensure that all relevant repairs, computer transactions and paperwork are properly documented, closed, and filed. Verify part number(s), serial number(s) and quantity of components. Verify all repairs and operations are stamped and dated, and that all stamps are valid for each completed task. Inspect for any obvious damage Ensure that all repairs have been completed per the OEM instructions. Complete computer transactions and ensure paperwork is properly documented, closed, and filed. Check repairs for correct dimensions with specific measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, inside bore, and outside bore) Ensure all parts are properly stored, cleaned, and packaged to prevent any material handling damage Assist in training future personnel including assisting the Team Leader with the compilation of work instructions and procedures. Work directly with the Team Leader to establish work priorities, scheduling of work. Assist with repair scheme development and expansion of the current component repair scope of services. Monitor shop practices to ensure that the facility is always operated in a healthy, safe, and environmentally conscience manner, per TCT policies and procedures. Take steps to correct any condition that violates this fundamental principle. Make recommendations on policy and procedures to improve shop productivity and profit of the company in general, and to contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Increase knowledge of the HSE Policy and Manual and maintain a positive attitude towards the health and safety of myself and my coworkers. Take ownership of HSE issues and demonstrate enthusiasm and support for HSE. Other duties as directed by the Team Leader, Component Repair or designate(s).

Company Requirements:




2+ years related inspection experience is required, however, a combination of experience & education will be considered Shift work may apply Successful completion of a criminal background check Successful completion of a post-offer medical and drug test
